This is a reminder for all graduate students. The biannual Graduate Program Reception and Orientation this semester has been scheduled for Friday the 8th of February at 5:00 pm. It will take place in Chardon 318. Please come prepared with questions and comments regarding any areas of the MAEE program. The graduate committee, Director of the department and other professors will be there to help and assist students with any situations. In addition to that we will be discussing the results from the Mid-semester survey that was administered last semester to graduate students in the MAEE. It is important that you make arrangements to be there because this activity was developed to give you the opportunity to clarify questions and to be aware of the steps that need to be followed in order to successfully acquire your degree. I hope to see you all there.

Graduate Students Reception and Orientation

As you know there are several documents that need to be filled out, as well as specific steps that need to be followed in order to successfully finish the MAEE program. That is why the English Department prepares and activity of orientation for all graduate students. It is not only directed to new students because the information and orientation that is given, is relevant to all students regardless of their stage in the program. It is also a good opportunity to clarify any doubts regarding anything about the program because the Director of the Department, Graduate Committee members and other professors, will be there. It is important for us that as many students as possible attend to this activity. In prior semesters a Friday after 4:30 has been selected to carry out the reception and orientation to ensure that the greater amount of students is present. However, we would like to get your feedback on this matter in terms of possible alternatives for a day and time in which the activity can take place. It would be good to keep in mind that whereas some students are usually around campus most day, other have jobs and live in other towns. Thus, the time and day should be fair enough for everyone. Please post your comments or questions regarding the date and time for the orientation. You will be hearing more about this soon.
